Kylie Jenner-esque makeup ❤️

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd make a small post about some makeup items I recently recieved. Now I am a HUGE Kylie Jenner lover and I love her makeup / fashion style so much and think she is gorgeous. She is stunning and one my favourite idols.

It seems like the whole world is after her poutylicious lip look, her highlighted cheeks and her simple eye makeup look and to be honest... So am I!

Anyway I purchased some items and created a similar look to her down below. I wouldn't say this is a Deffinate 'look' but more of an inspiration if that makes sense. As I am not Kylie's makeup artist I couldn't really tell you what she wears but these items looked quite similar so I thought I would share them with you. First of all I appologie for the fact you can't really see my eyeshadow! I REALLY need to cut my fringe! Also it's works out as a bit of a positive because I SUCK at eye makeup. Some of these items may look different on you. I know I am not the best at makeup but I am trying so no negative comments please because I am kind of a beginner :) most of these would probably look better on others anyway.

So incase you were wondering what items picked up to create this look they were:
loréal lumi magique primer
Nars sheer glow foundation in Santa fe
Rimmel wake me up concealer in 10 Ivory
Rimmel stay matte powder in translucent
Bare minerals well rested (for under eyes to get that highlighted look)
Nars laguna bronzer
Benefit hoola (for awesome contouring!!)
Benefit gimme brow in dark
Mac lipstick in velvet teddy (matte)
Rimmel exaggerate lip liners in eastend snob 063 and addiction 018 (both of these work well)

And for the eye look I used
Too faced shadow insurance - original
Naked 1 palette by urban decay and for this used the shades naked on the lid, buck in the crease and Virgin for the brow bone
Benefit they're real push up liner
Rimmel scandaleyes eye pencil in nude 05 for the waterline to make you look wide awake
Benefit they're real mascara

The lip liners I feel are a key feature on this look and can be used to slightly over draw the lips to make them look really pouty like Kylie's.

The picture above isn't the best to show you how the eye look 'looks'. It actually looked a lot better in person but bear in mind this was taken on my iPhone.

I hope you all have a lovely day. Whatever you are doing. If you can't get your hands on Velvet Teddy, I heard that Twig, Faux, Brave, Mehr and Kinda Sexy are very similar and also if you can find Whirl, Soar or Spice lip liners by MAC, those are also FAB to use for this look. Xxx

My Favourite Pink Lip Products ♡

Hey Guys!

Today I thought i’d bring you my favourite pink lip products. I love wearing pink on my lips as I think it really suits my hair and skintone. Below are some of my favourite products that i have collected, used, repurchased over the years and I am so excited to share them with you. I hope you enjoy this post and please let me know if you have any recommendations of colours or other lipsticks I should be trying. Anyway thanks for taking the time to read this post as I have a lot to talk about and i will see you soon.

Clinique Chubby Stick - 06 whoppin’ watermelon
Price - £17 http://www.clinique.co.uk/product/1605/15520/Makeup/Lipsticks/Chubby-Stick-Moisturizing-Lip-Colour-Balm
Coverage/ Finish - Sheer but also quite ‘balmy’.

This lipstick appears slightly glossy on the lips which is due to the fact that this product is intended to be a tinted lip balm. I used to wear this non-stop when i first purchased it. It is a great lip product to have, particularly in the summer as it is perfect for those no make-up/natural make-up pool days or to whack on before you go to the beach. It is what I would call a natural pink shade and I think anyone could wear this, especially considering the sheerness of this product. Personally I don’t really wear this anymore as I am into other products more however when I was younger I used to love this. I think it’s great for school or work as it gives your lips something without making them really noticeable. Like I said I think this product would be great for the pool or beach as it doesn’t really matter if it comes off. It doesn’t smudge and it doesn’t dry out your lips, even in the heat of the sun so you can re-apply it as much as you want.

MAC - Angel (Frost)
Price - £15.50 http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/shaded/168/310/Lipstick/index.tmpl?77tadunit=fcb8c5d7&77tadvert=7634422239&77tkeyword=%2Bmac%20%2Bangel%20%2Blipstick&77tentrytype=s&cm_mmc=google-_-search-_-brand-_-%2Bmac%20%2Bangel%20%2Blipstick&gclid=Cj0KEQiAiamlBRCgj83PiYm6--gBEiQArnojD2ioO3qNcT1TcejXAfnpfl7sWx_rtrsU_NzdLM90HEgaAgIx8P8HAQ
Coverage/Finish - Light/Medium.

This lipstick is a lightish finish at least on my lips as they are quite pigmented, however I wouldn’t call this a sheer lipstick as it does have some colour. It is a Frost finish which is my least favourite finish by MAC, however I do quite like it as it doesn’t appear that frosty when your pair it with the right make-up. It’s a really nice light classic pink. For me it pulls more light on my actual lips as opposed to the swatch on my hand but I think that is due to the colour of my natural lips. It’s a good basic colour to have in your collection and I ike it a lot. This could easily be built up to medium coverage and a small tip… if you wear it with a baby pink lipgloss on top it looks lush. I love it with NARS Turkish Delight however in the picture below I am wearing it solo.

REVLON - Pink Pout
Price - £5/7.49 http://www.superdrug.com/Revlon/Revlon-Matte-Lipstick-Pink-Pout-2/p/550965#.VKrS8oeorww or http://www.boots.com/en/Revlon-Super-Lustrous-8482-Matte-Lipstick_870980/
Coverage/Finish - Medium finish.

I’d say this lipstick could quite easily be a medium finish. It has good pigmentation and it is matte so the colour is quite opaque, especially if you build it up. I’m not sure I like this shade as it pulls off very blue on me and I really dislike blue toned pinks if they are light as they make me look really washed out. It is a beautiful shade though and i still wear it and try to pull it off. Let me know what you think :) this lipstick is also quite similar to Angel but more blue toned and obviously this lipstick is matte as opposed to a Frost. It could still be a cheaper alternative though if you are on a budget and you like these kinds of pinks.

CHANEL - Rouge Coco Shine in 55 Romance
Price - £25 http://www.boots.com/en/CHANEL-ROUGE-COCO-SHINE-Hydrating-Sheer-Lipshine_1179243/
Coverage/ Finish - Light/Medium and Glossy.

This lipstick is one of my favourites of all time EVER! I absolutely love how this lipstick looks on the lips. its subtle but it’s not. it’s quite hard to explain but I guess the word I am looking for is pretty bloody amazing! The colour itself isn’t anything special. It reminds me a lot of the MAC cremesheens and it feels and smells wonderful on the lips. I always love the smell of higher end lipsticks. Maybe i’m odd or maybe that’s just me haha. Anyway i’d describe this lipstick as a really pretty everyday pink. It makes your lips look uber pretty and I just love it to pieces. It also goes with a bunch of different makeup looks so give it a go. The packaging too is lush and really classy looking. It can be built up so it’s really opaque but still glossy if that makes sense. It is a ‘classic’ pink in my opinion and I don’t find it to be blue toned whatsoever which is a huge yay for me! As you can see I have pretty much run out of this product. I will 100% be repurchasing. I might try a different shade though and see how it compares.

Benefit - Hydra Smooth Lip Colour in Talk Flirty
Price - £15 https://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/new-hydra-smooth-lip-color
Coverage/Finish - Medium with a Slight Sheen.

I never hear or see anyone talk about the Benefit Hydra Smooth lipsticks. Personally I am obsessed with them and think everyone should try them out. At least in the store anyway. They are beautiful on the lips and feel really glossy and smooth. The appearance of them is quite glossy as the formula is quite hydrating however they are not sheer. They are super easy to apply and you can build them up too. Most of the shades have shimmer in them however in my opinion it’s a nice shimmer. It’s very subtle and you don’t really notice it unless you are out in the sun but even then it looks super pretty. My only gripe about this product is that the tube gets really dirty (as you can see in the picture) but apart from that, the packaging is super cute and I will definitely be purchasing more. Benefit also has a sheer range and full colour range in these products which i have yet to try.

Loréal - Caresse in 07 Cheeky Magenta
Price - £7.99 http://www.boots.com/en/LOreal-Rouge-Caresse-Lipstick_1247632/
Coverage/Finish - Light with a Slight Sheen.

I’d say these lipsticks are very comparable with the Benefit Hydra Smooth Lip Colours however I like those a little bit more. I find these ones to be a bit harder to apply as the colour doesn’t really come off that well. A few swipes over the lips though and it’s fine. The colour of this is so beautiful. I purchased this lipstick when I went through my ‘bright’ faze and wore nothing but bright lippies on my lips for ages. It is a really nice colour to wear in the summer and looks amazing if you have pale skin or blonde hair. i’d say this is a very pinky pink shade. It looks very blue in the packaging and maybe it is more blue toned than pink, however I really do think this shade suits me. I never like nor wear blue toned pinks but I think this shade is a very versatile colour that more people can pull off.

MAC - Candy Yum Yum (Matte)
Price - £15.50 http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/shaded/168/310/Lipstick/index.tmpl?77tadunit=fcb8c5d7&77tadvert=7634422239&77tkeyword=%2Bmac%20%2Bangel%20%2Blipstick&77tentrytype=s&cm_mmc=google-_-search-_-brand-_-%2Bmac%20%2Bangel%20%2Blipstick&gclid=Cj0KEQiAiamlBRCgj83PiYm6--gBEiQArnojD2ioO3qNcT1TcejXAfnpfl7sWx_rtrsU_NzdLM90HEgaAgIx8P8HAQ
Coverage/Finish - Full coverage with a Matte finish

This lipstick is insanely bright and I don’t think these photos do it enough justice as it is super duper neon bright in person. I was oddly brave enough to wear this lipstick ALL the time when I first got it. Even outside in natural day light. It is your typical bright neon pink. I wouldn’t call it flouresent but it’s very very close. The lipstick itself is quite dry but long lasting. It doesn’t dry the lips out as such but it is a good idea to wear balm underneath it. I have tried using this lipstick sheer as well by dabbing the product lightly on my lips and it makes it super wearable for a day time look, especially if you pair it with a light pink gloss on top. This would be an amazing lipstick to wear out or to parties. I wore this shade for halloween. I was a white bunny in handcuffs and I did bright blue eyes paired with this lipstick and I think it looked really nice and just pulled my look together.

Inglot - 239
Price - £12 http://www.inglotuk.com/Lipstick-Lipstick_Cream.html
Coverage/Finish - Matte with a slight sheen

This lipstick is one of my newest and most favourite purchases of all time. I’ve always wanted to try an Ingot product as they are pretty raved about but i’ve just never known what to try, however as I was christmas shopping in Cambridge a few weeks back now I came across an Ingot store and decided to take a peak. I came out (after about 10,000 lipstick swatches) with this beautiful colour. its a shame that Inglot don’t give their lipsticks cute names like brands such as MAC do because I hate it when they just use numbers but at the end of the day it’s still a beautiful lipstick. For me this is another lipstick that looks different watched then it appears on my lips. On my lips it appears very bright and I was expecting it to be more of a natural deep pink shade. It looks very berry in the tube and I think this is a great lipstick that can be worn at all times of the year. The picture below was taken recently (winter) and I think it looks great. I will be wearing this loads in the summer though, as summer for me is my favourite time to wear pinks. The smell of this lipstick is very sweet and fruity. It always reminds me of gummy sweets in a way. It is really nice and is gorgeous to apply. It has the finest shimmer however I don’t find that this shows up on the lips but this could be what gives it it’s really nice sheen on the lips. I found this in the matte section however I don’t think i’d call it ‘matte’ matte due to the sheen and the way it applies. It is a really smooth lipstick and I am so eager to try more of these from this brand.

YSL Rouge Volupté in 34
Price - £25 http://www.yslbeauty.co.uk/makeup/lips/lipsticks/rouge-volupte/144YSL.html?dwvar_144YSL_color=14%20CORAIL%20IN%20TOUCH&gclid=Cj0KEQiAiamlBRCgj83PiYm6--gBEiQArnojD9OJtuIhHLUJO892dxRgyshXIUL75w1KMhhaA7MIUDAaAr2p8P8HAQ
Coverage/Finish - Full, Slightly Glossy

This lipstick is stunning! There are no other words to describe it really. I have been on a hunt for a new bright lipstick and I think I have found ‘the one’. Most bright pink lipsticks I see are either fuchsia or neon pink but this lipstick pulls off more red and it is absolutely beautiful. The formula is really creamy and smooth so you have to be careful when you apply it (it’s almost too creamy) but the colour is amazing. It is a really vivid bright pink. It could almost be a red but it is definitely a pink. YSL always get top marks in my opinion when it comes to their packaging. I really like the gold tube and it looks really cute and fancy when placed on my dresser. In terms of the coverage that this gives, it is easily a full! Whilst the colour may not last as long as other full finish lipsticks (which are predominately matte) this stays on the lips a good few hours as long as you don’t eat or drink anything uber messy as this stuff transfers like crazy! I think this will be a great shade for the summer and I can’t wait to rock it when i’m slightly more tanned. This does look beautiful on light skin too. I am an NC20/25 in MAC foundations and I love this lipstick so much. It’s like my baby. I really want to try more of the lighter/nude shades by YSL however they are quite expensive (over £20) so maybe not just yet. I do love these lipsticks though and they too have an amazing sweet scent that reminds me of sweets or fizzy drinks or something. I Would highly recommend this lipstick if you love bright pink lippies!

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in Eastend Snob
Price - £3.99 http://uk.rimmellondon.com/products/lips/exaggerate-automatic-lip-liner
Coverage/Finish - Medium to Full With a Matte Finish

I never used to wear lip liners up until now and I have to say I am really liking the ones by Rimmel London. I picked up two and this was the pink shade I picked up. It is a really basic colour I think and it goes with most of my pink lipsticks. I say most because I haven’t tried it with all of them and some lipsticks such as the brighter shades I feel don’t really need it. This product is super easy to use and I love that is it a retractable liner meaning you simply just wind it up to get the product out. In the picture below I am wearing it solo and you can see how it makes my lips look really matte. You could probably wear this alone if you wanted to. It is very similar to my natural lip colour and for me it is almost a ‘my lips but better colour’. I really like it paired with nude lipsticks too as it pulls them off more pink. I recently wore it with MAC Velvet Teddy and the two were a pretty good match. The only think I don’t like about this product is it’s quite dry and can sometimes be a bit tricky to apply as it is really easy to snap the tip off (trust me i know) but anyway, it’s a good basic lip product and I find it really does make my lipstick last longer, especially if it is a matte finish lipstick such as Velvet Teddy.

Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Fauxmance
Price - £14.50 https://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/new-ultra-plush-lip-gloss
Coverage/Finish - Medium, Glossy With No Shimmer

I was pleasantly surprised by this product as when I saw it on the website I was expecting (this shade in particular) to be quite sheer. however I was really shocked when I swatched it in person. It is a really nice ‘every day’ pink shade that can be paired with almost any pink lipstick. It is a very basic pink but in a good way as it goes with so many different shades and tones of lipstick. The feel of these lip glosses is very creamy and they are not sticky at all. The coverage is really good too and I often wear this shade solo without any lipstick underneath. You can tell by the swatches just how pigmented it is. These lip glosses are also amazing paired with the Benefit Hydra Smooth Lip Colours and I think the two compliment each other really well and make your lips look really plump and ‘kissable'. These lip glosses also feel really hydrating and just ‘yummy’. I wouldn’t suggest eating them obviously but that was the only word I could think of to describe them. I also have to point out how cute the packaging of these lip glosses are. I love most of Benefit’s products and their packaging is always so on-point I think.

Benefit Lip Gloss in Hervana
Price - £14.50 https://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/hervana-ultra-plush
Coverage/Finish - Medium, Very Glossy

The formula of these lip glosses is verrrrry smooth and well glossy, duh?! These are really shiny lip glosses and they make your lips look really nice and healthy. These lip glosses in particular are paired with the famous benefit box blushes. I own the Hervana one and these two products are perfect for each other. I usually wear this lipgloss over my Hydra Smooth Lip Colour Lipsticks and they make my lips look really full and pouty? The downside I have is that because they are so glossy, they slip and slide a lot meaning they don’t last that long and nor do they make the lipstick underneath last long either. however I do love these glosses. They are not sticky at all and they taste and smell amazing. My only other downside (it’s not really a downside though) is that the writing on the front of the tube disappears quite quickly. granted I have had mine for a few months but I guess that means it’s well loved right? I do reach for this lipgloss a lot as I haven’t found one that feels as nice as this one does YET but yeah. Let me know if you have tried this shade or one of the other boxed blush lip glosses and tell me what you think.

NARS Lipgloss in Turkish Delight
Price - £18.50 http://narscosmetics.co.uk/en_GB/makeup-lips-lip-gloss/999NAC0000003.html?dwvar_999NAC0000003_color=7845016687#cm_mmc=SEM-_-Google-_-UK+Nars+Lips+2014-_-nars+turkish+delight&gclid=Cj0KEQiAiamlBRCgj83PiYm6--gBEiQArnojD-p7OFlbKeSEwwjNvusVke9AXaPnXDrxcre8gXp21koaAnGQ8P8HAQ&start=1
Coverage/Finish - Light but not Sheer

Turkish Delight was one of those 'YouTube made me do it’ products. Everyone always raves about this lipgloss as it a favourite with Kim Kardashian as they say and I can see why. Turkish Delight is a really nice milky pink lipgloss that looks beautiful over nude or light pink lipsticks. I wear this over MAC Angel and the two look stunning together. Again this is another non-sticky lipgloss and it is really smooth and easy to apply. The wand is quite small and it takes a few swipes of product to cover the lips but the finish is beautiful. It also has no shimmer in it so that’s a plus point too. The packaging is really nice. I love NARS products as their packaging always feels pricey and this lipgloss is no different. Personally i wouldn’t wear it solo but that’s just me and my preferences. This is one of those products I feel will always be in my makeup bag.

i hope you guys liked my review on my favourite pink lip products, I will hopefully be doing more soon, maybe reds or nudes next. I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Years and I can’t wait to give you another review/beauty chat soon. xxx
